Sign Up For BattleBorn’s Closed Technical Test

Fans awaiting Gearbox’s next big IP finally have a chance to get their hands on it. Signups for a BattleBorn closed technical test have just opened.

The Battleborn technical test hopes to give Gearbox Software and 2K Games a way to air out most of the launch day kinks. Testing of its online infrastructure and balancing out the 25 playable characters are key points of the test.

The only prerequisite is signing up for a free Shift account. Shift account users previously may have used this service to obtain gold chest keys for Borderlands. Participants who wish to sign up also have to agree to a non-disclosure agreement which prevents any online streaming or gameplay capturing of any sorts. Gearbox and 2K Games also note that participants are “selected on a number of criteria based on the needs for testing, including (but not limited) platform preference, location and availability.”

The test will be available on the Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC platforms. PC users will need to meet the minimum requirements below

  • OS: Windows 7 x64-Bit or Later
  • Processor: Intel Core2 Extreme CPU Q6850/ AMD A8-3870k (Quad Core CPU’s)
  • Memory: 6 GB
  • Hard Disk Space: 70 GB free
  • Video Memory: 2 GB
  • Video Card: AMD HD 7700/ NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 or better, PhysX support
  • Sound: DirectX 11 Compliant

Those wanting to take a part in this closed technical test can RSVP here.
