Shantae and the Seven Sirens Getting Physical Release via Limited Run Games

Limited Run Games, the studio that gives various digital games a physical release announced in May that the Nintendo platformer Shantae and the Seven Sirens would be available for pre-order for a limited time. Limited Run Games has released 71 physical versions of different games prior to Shantae, including titles like the visual novel Clannad and Star Wars: Jedi Knight II. The physical version of the game for the Nintendo Switch and PS4 can be pre-ordered on the Limited Run Game’s website. There is also a collector’s version of the game available for pre-order for $69.99. The collector’s edition of the game includes a game poster, commemorative Game Boy cartridge, monster trading cards, and a steel book case. The physical version of the game is not region locked, and copies will be shipped out 2-3 months after the sale ends.

The fifth title in the Shantae series, Shantae and the Seven Sirens was announced in March of this year, with digital versions of the game coming to the Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC systems via Steam. The teaser trailer for the game shows off the beach-front world and aquatic enemies that players will encounter in their gameplay. Shantae and the Seven Sirens follows the genie Shantae as she adventures through various aquatic-themed areas to battle the mysterious Seven Sirens. The digital version of the game has already been released and can be purchased now, but the physical version of the game will only be available for a limited time. According to Limited Run Games, the physical version of Shantae and the Seven Sirens, along with the collector’s edition, will only be available until June 14th at 11:59 p.m. EST.
