Today at gamescom Opening Night Live, the voices behind SILENT HILL: Townfall were announced. In a new trailer, Konami presented their starstudded cast for the newest installment of the franchise.
The story begins with Richard–voiced by Emmy Award winner Terry O’Quinn (Lost, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live)–a mysterious man who calls protagonist Simon Ordell back to St. Amelia. As the story progresses, the amount of personal knowledge he has surrounding the town is suspicious to say the least. Jovan Adepo (The Odyssey, IT: Welcome to Derry, 3 Body Problem) voices Simon, the man on a mission to “put things right” in the remote Scottish settlement. The foggy memories he has of the settlement already have him on edge, but a strange pocket television also known as the CRTV begins to make the desire to make sense of everything intensify. After a strange voice emerges from the device begging him to “come back to her”, he is convinced to make the trip to Scotland to truly put his mind at ease. The voice belongs to Zoe, a compassionate nurse voiced by Kezia Burrows (Observation) who couldn’t bear to sever her ties to St. Amelia and the residents there. However, Richard and Zoe aren’t the only ones waiting for Simon’s arrival.
Just as all of its predecessors, SILENT HILL: Townfall delves into the genre of psychological horror with an emphasis on tragedy, mystery, and loss. Players will experience the horror of St. Amelia in first person, leading Simon through his journey. In order to get his answers and survive to tell the tale, he must explore, evade, and fight with a limited set of weapons and tools. Always available to guide him with an unreliable signal, the CRTV is one of the tools Simon will have on him. No step closer to his mental clarity is easy: combat will leave you frantic, evasion will have you on the edge of your seat, and the puzzles scattered throughout the settlement will slowly reveal the truth that refuses to stay submerged.
SILENT HILL: Townfall is set to release on September 24, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Steam, and Epic Games Store. For more information, visit the official website.
