After years of speculation and rumors, Rocksteady, developers of Batman: Arkham Asylum, City, and Knight have officially revealed that their next game is indeed focused on The Suicide Squad. There were rumors that their next game may be Superman game but they later confirmed that they were not working on a game that focuses on Superman. Last year, details of two canceled Superman games were revealed. There were also rumors that Rocksteady was working on another Batman game but it was later revealed that the next Batman game is being developed by WB Montreal, the developers behind Batman: Arkham Origins. Rocksteady’s announcement reveals that the game is set to be officially revealed on August 22, 2020, at the DC FanDome event.
While this is official, this is actually something that we already knew as in June, two domain names were registered for new websites for games. One of the games is titled Gotham Knights which may be WB Montreal’s game. The other game is the Suicide Squad title that Rocksteady is working on. Based on the poster with Superman in the crosshairs, this seems to confirm that the game will revolve around the Suicide Squad vs. the Justice League, which was one of the URLs that was found.
