RoboCop: Rogue City Switch Version Has Been Cancelled Weeks Before Release

Robocop Rogue City is releasing soon on November 2nd, but switch users may be feeling the disappointment as the switch version of the game has been canceled. The game is still set to be released on the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. There has been much excitement around the games announcement and consequent trailers since there hasn’t been a Robocop game in over a decade, with the last release being a mobile game.  This is surprising news as the trailers for the game have all had the Nintendo switch logo prominent at the end of the trailers, but they have all been removed since the news.

The news comes from a facebook post from the Robocop: Rogue City page

At this moment we don’t have any plans for a Nintendo switch release.

Apart from that bit of disappointing news, players on other platforms can expect a well crafted game according to all the reactions to the games demo that was released earlier this month. Many fans of the 80’s action hero were cautious in how this game was going to be received seeing as Teyon, the studio behind the game, had another 80’s action property that didn’t really go according to plan. That being Terminator: Resistance which had many mixed reviews upon release. Judging from the gameplay trailers and demo of Robocop: Rogue City, it seems players don’t have much to stress about anymore, as the game looks to be a huge step up from Terminator: Resistance. That could be due to developer Nacon joining efforts with Teyon to achieve the best possible cyborg cop experience imaginable.

Robocop: Rogue City looks like it will be one of the more peculiar games this year, as the game really strives to be accurate to its source material of the Robocop film series. Lots of players are already noting the movement of the game and how sluggish and tanky Robocop is.
