Next Stop Nowhere has finally released today for iOS 14 on the App Store. On this road trip adventure, Next Stop Nowhere focuses on a simple courier Beckett. He encounters a former bounty hunter Serra, who is in search of her son Eddy and is inevitably dragged into her galaxy journey to rescue from active bounty hunters. In addition, Next Stop Nowhere has a strong focus of personalizing players’ experience through the lens of Beckett. “How he (Beckett) survives–the choices he makes, the relationships he forges, the person he becomes–is up to you. – stated on the App Store. If interested, the game is available for download from the App Store if already an Apple Arcade subscriber ($4.99/month for access to hundreds of games).
Not only has the game itself been long anticipated by fans, but whether Next Stop Nowhere will continue to fit the new Apple Arcade culture is another factor its success. In July 2020, Apple stated “their upcoming games didn’t have the level of ‘engagement’ Apple is seeking. The vision has always been to grow and evolve the Apple Arcade catalog, and we can’t wait for our users to try the games developers are working on now.” — stated in a press release by Bloomberg. As a result, Apple Arcade has slowly revamped the platform with Next Stop Nowhere one of their most recent releases since last month.
Just as a reminder, Apple will be releasing three more games by the end of Summer 2020. On August 21st, the fan-favorite TV series “Samurai Jack” will be released as the mobile game Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time. Other notable games, World’s End Club and The Last Campfire, will be released sometime this Summer 2020 as well. To stay updated, occasionally check out the App Store for future updates on these two games’ release dates.
