Rise Of The Tomb Raider Release Date For PS4 Revealed

Yesterday, I wrote about timed-exclusive video games making their way to the PS4. Following up on that article, the release date for the new Rise of the Tomb Raider game had been released. PS4 players can enjoy Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration beginning on October 11. Along with Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration, players will receive several other added aspects to the game. Players will receive a new story chapter called “Blood Ties” which will be compatible with PS VR, gameplay for the co-op mode Endurance, all previously released DLC, with extra outfits, weapons and Expedition cards along with the award-winning game Rise of the Tomb Raider. Lastly, players will receive a limited edition art book. Players who own the game on Xbox One and PC who have the Season Pass will receive all of the extra content for free except for the VR aspect to “Blood Ties.”

“Blood Ties” is an extra game mode in which you explore Croft Manor. Lara Croft’s uncle makes claim that he has ownership of Croft Manor. Lara has to explore Croft Manor to find evidence that she is true heir, or else lose her birthright to the manor. After she does, you can play the replayable “Lara’s Nightmare” where you protect the manor from a Zombie Invasion. Players playing “Blood Ties” in VR play the game in first person.

The co-op Endurance mode is an online mode in which you and another friend team up to explore ruins. The team up is similar to the partnership in Resident Evil 6. When playing co-op, you will weather harsh environments in the day and face lethal enemies by night. The goal is to survive for as long as you can so that you can climb the leaderboards with other players climbing the leaderboards to keep up with you.

Players will receive a re-envisioned cold weather outfit along with the Hailstorm pistol Lara used in Tomb Raider III. The game comes with five Lara Croft cards which will allow you to play the game in different Lara outfits dating back to when the game was born in 1996.

The new “Extreme Survivor” knocks up the Survivor setting a couple of notches, making it perfect for the hardcore gamer. Starting with the eradication of checkpoints, you will only be able to save your game at fireplaces you light with materials you have rounded up.

All DLC has been included, including Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch, Cold Darkness Awakened where playerss face hordes of infected prisoners. Also included are all outfits, weapons, cards and more.

Currently for Xbox One, PC and Xbox 360, Rise of the Tomb Raider was nominated for over 75 awards, winning 27 of them.

I'm a big Pokémon fan, so I'l spend a lot of my time playing that. Other than that, I love sports, particularly the Charlotte Hornets and the Carolina Panthers. No matter how bad the team is, I will always rep them.
