Golden Spatula is an auto-battler strategy mobile game by Riot Games featuring more than 60 champions from League of Legends. Players recruit characters from a random pool to create their ideal lineup of champions. They then battle groups of eight players in one-on-one combat until only one competitor stands. Golden Spatula introduced the Into the Arcane set based on the Arcane series from League of Legends and Netflix. This introduces game mechanics with more than 5o Anomaly effects, granting players more strategic opportunities.

Riot Games recently announced the soft launch of Golden Spatula, sharing the specifics via a celebratory post on X (formerly Twitter). The post states that the game is live and available for iOS and Android devices in Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore. It encourages players to “fight alongside League of Legends champions in the battlefield with millions of players.” A link leading to a download site is provided at the bottom of the post for interested readers.

Golden Spatula was originally launched in China, and it ran closed beta testing in Southeast Asia back in November. Kate Han, Director of Game/Product Direction at Riot Games, shared thoughts on the beta testing in Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore last month, stating that her team was “excited to finally bring Golden Spatula to players” in those regions, especially after “hearing the demand from fans who have eagerly awaited its release since it launched in China.”

Golden Spatula is designed with mobile players in mind, offering a fresh and accessible strategy experience that’s easy to jump into but offers plenty of depth for those who love mastering auto-battlers. We can’t wait to see how players in Southeast Asia embrace Golden Spatula and build their own strategies to level up and win.

The game is offering exclusive rewards for the soft launch, including 1000 free draws through the Golden Gifts launch event, Chibi Pioneer Yasuo, Grab vouchers through the unique Golden Spatula x Grab event, and others. Currently the game is only available to players in Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore, although this can be worked around with a VPN for Android devices and simply signing in with a new Apple ID set to one of those regions for iOS devices.
