Following the massive success of Capcom’s Resident Evil 4 Remake it only makes sense that they would strike while the iron is hot and release another version of the beloved 2004 classic Resident Evil 4, this time you can experience the remake in VR and for the Playstation VR2 on Playstation 5 as a free piece of DLC.
After the immense success of both Resident Evil 7 and the original Resident Evil 4 in VR settings with those games into brought into virtual reality and essentially remixing the game from the ground up, providing players with an entirely new experience in a new point of view it’s fitting that the latest addition to the survival/action/horror family would also be ported into VR.
As with those games, every action you take in Resident Evil 4 Remake VR is experienced through your own hands, things like solving puzzles, swinging a knife, and reloading and firing guns are experienced through immersive haptic feedback that really makes you feel like you’re an American agent being beset upon by a village of plagas infected ganados.
Resident Evil, and especially every version of Resident Evil 4, is a series that is usually put through many challenge runs, so it’ll be interesting to see the community work with this new version of the game with a brand new dimension and it’ll be exciting to see how players both new and old navigate the challenges of Resident Evil 4 Remake through an entirely new point of view.
Resident Evil 4 Remake is available on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam. The Playstation VR2 version of the game is available for free only on PlayStation 5. And for mobile gamers, Resident Evil 4 Remake is also coming to the iPhone 15 Pro as well as all iPads and Macs with an M1 chip on December 20, 2023.
