Resident Evil 2 Gets Free DLC “The Ghost Survivors” in February

With how much hype was built up around and behind it, Resident Evil 2 has finally arrived to high praise and an overwhelmingly positive response. It’s only been out for a few days and hasn’t fully settled in yet, and developer Capcom isn’t ready to keep the hype down.

With so much focus on those who survive Raccoon City’s outbreak, what about the people who don’t? The people who suffer because of Umbrella’s greed and hunger to create the most dangerous biological weapon they could, without thinking about those caught in the crossfire? Capcom announced in a livestream that they would be looking into the lives of those who were on the streets and the ones who witnessed first hand the destruction and agony that the virus causes in an upcoming DLC “Ghost Survivors”:

In this DLC, players take on the role of three different people for three different short stories. One of the characters that is focused on is Robert Kendo, the gun shop owner from Leon’s campaign after he escapes the precinct. His story is titled “No Time to Mourn”, which can only mean it takes place after the rather difficult choice that he makes after meeting Leon.

The other two stories focus on different people through Raccoon City. “Runaway” follows Raccoon City Mayor’s daughter as she tries to get out and get to safety. The last one, “Forgotten Soldier”, follows a soldier who’s been caught up in the outbreak and is assumed to be already dead. Not much else is known about what these three stories will have in them, or their style of gameplay; it could very well be combat, stealth, escape, or something completely different.

However, this DLC will be free to download on February 15, 2019. Start marking calendars because the “what if” stories will be heading out in just a few weeks.
