Release Date of Next The Walking Dead Episode Announced

The latest episode in Telltale Games’ highly acclaimed adventure game The Walking Dead: Season 2 has set to release on May 13, 14 and 15. The  cheerfully named Episode 3: In Harm’s Way will pick up from where the last episode, A House Divided, left off.

The episode will launch for the PlayStation 3, Mac and PC on May 13, Xbox 360 on the 14th, and iOs on the 15th. Although the previous two episodes are also available for the PlayStation Vita, a release date for that platform is currently unknown.

The Walking Dead game serves as a parallel storyline to the events of the comic book, and not the AMC TV series of the same name. The second season, which will last five episodes just like its predecessor, continues the journey of Clementine, a young girl who lost her parents to the zombie apocalypse.

Warning, spoilers ahead!

In the previous episode of Season 2, A House Divided, Clementine and her companions reunite with a survivor from the first season, Kenny, and while their reunion is mostly peaceful, it is rudely interrupted when a heavily armed gang led by a sinister man known as Carver takes them hostage. The episode also gave a nod to The Walking Dead: 400 days, a DLC episode that bridges the two seasons, by featuring a player character from that episode, Bonnie, albeit as one of the gang members.

A teaser trailer for In Harm’s Way was also released, showing Clementine and her friends having to live under  a totalitarian society led by Carver. A brief moment in the trailer shows another character from 400 days, Tavia, in a seemingly antagonistic role. This could potentially set the stage for an interesting scenario in which the survivors from Season 2 have to square off against the survivors from 400 days.
