Red Dead Online Offers Players a Clean Slate with New Update

Red Dead Online launched its first 2021 update on January 5. Red Dead Online became its own standalone game on December 1 and is on sale for $5.99 for almost another month. Players who already own Red Dead Redemption 2 or plan to buy the game, will have Red Dead Online included in their purchase. Rockstar allows players to turn over a new leaf for the New Year with this update as well as giving free haircuts and drinks for a limited time.

For this week, players will receive a “free slate” by resetting their honor bar. Honor status in Red Dead determines the character’s personality: are they a friendly neighbor or an outlaw? It’s very easy to receive dishonor for your actions so many players may benefit from this offer by Rockstar. The barbers and bartenders in the saloons will also be offering free drinks and haircuts until January 11. For players that are on the Collectors or Naturalist path, there are special benefits for them. The Natural Sample Sales will be paying out an extra 50% RDOs to Harriet Davenport. For complete Collectors Sets, Madam Nazar will be paying 30% extra for these.

In addition, playing the Land of Opportunities Missions and free roam missions will earn players triple XP until January 11. Red Dead Online will also be offering discounts at the stores: 30% off revolvers, 60% all ammo, 50% off food and tonics, 30% off stable stalls, and 40% off horse equipment.

Red Dead Online is available on Xbox One|Series, PS4|5, and PC. The sale for Red Dead ends February 5 and then will be $19.99 for players.
