PUBG Mobile To Hosts Its First Virtual Concert Featuring K-pop Girl Group BlackPink

Following the success of past virtual concerts from popular artists Ariana Grande, and Travis Scott, PUBG Mobile is finally expanding to host its own live virtual events. The announcement came early July 12, 2022 on Twitter, revealing PUBG Mobile’s first ever virtual concert featuring K-pop’s current best selling girl group BlackPink. PUBG Mobile has had a wide variety of collaborations in previous months, but this latest event seems to be a start in expanding its world, similar to its rival Fortnite.

The virtual concert just so happens to be BlackPink’s anticipated return to music since the group’s last album in 2020 and fans are excited. According to The Verge,  Tencent Games stated the virtual concert will feature “a Special Track and new music video, designed and created specifically for this collaboration.”  Tencent Games also mentioned “eye-catching outfits” worn by BlackPink’s virtual avatars that players will be able to obtain from July 23rd until August 31st.

Following the concert fans can enjoy PUGB Mobile’s H5 Surprise Event from September 28 to October 8, 2022; featuring a new collaboration plane, air drop, loading image, lobby theme and collaboration music and other permanent outfits and benefits. No further details for the concert are available but, considering the significance of this event and previous virtual concerts, its safe to say that this event will be extraordinary.

Free tickets for the in-game event will open on July 15th, and on July 16th a concert resource pack will be available for download. New players can join in on the fun simply by downloading PUBG Mobile in the App Store. Future updates for the concert will be available on PUBG Mobile’s official Twitter and website.

Caitlyn Taylor: New media and entertainment have been apart of my life since I was very young, and I don't think that interest will ever go away. When I'm bored, I immerse myself in lore videos no matter the length.
