PC gamers could see the PSVR2 heading their way this year. That’s according to recent PlayStation blog post, that went over the latest announcements coming to the platform.
According to Sony, tests are being run to determine the PSVR2’s ability access games on PC. While the type of tests PlayStation is performing are currently unknown, fans should expect updates in the near future. As for when players could see the PSVR2 on PC, PlayStation hopes it will be available in 2024 at the earliest.
Additionally, the blog post revealed six non-AAA titles and DLC content coming to the PSVR2. The list includes The Wizards – Dark Times: Brotherhood, Arizona Sunshine 2 DLC, Little Cities: Bigger!, Wanderer: The Fragments of Fate, Zombie Army VR, and Soul Covenant. In particular, The Wizards – Dark Times: Brotherhood and Arizona Sunshine 2 DLC released today, February 22nd.
“We’re pleased to share that we are currently testing the ability for PSVR2 players to access additional games on PC to offer even more game variety in addition to the PSVR2 titles available through PS5,” the post read. “We hope to make this support available in 2024, so stay tuned for more updates.”
Fans have been clamoring for PC support for the PSVR2 ever since its launch since the original PSVR headset had PC compatibility. That said, Sony had been quiet on their future plans for the VR2 headset, stating that the headset was strictly for PlayStation consoles, until now.
If Sony manages to go through with PSVR2 PC compatibility, it’s more than likely that its sales will improve since its underwhelming launch.
