Netherrealm Studios Drops Peacemaker Gameplay Trailer For Mortal Kombat 1

Mortal Kombat 1 was one of last years incredible fighting games that released to the masses, and Netherrealm have been sure to continuously entertain players specifically with their post launch content. Mortal Kombat’s Kombat packs have been a great way to introduce characters to the game post launch and they have been subject to much hype for previous titles. A couple months ago, the first Kombat pack character dropped, that being Omni Man, and now we finally have our first look at gameplay for the second Kombat pack character to be released, Peacemaker. The gameplay trailer released today showcased Peacemakers wild move set, all set around his beautiful silver dome, alongside the second kombat pack Kameo fighter, Janet Cage.

Peacemaker looks like he will be extremely fun to both see and play, the in game character has both the likeness and voice of John Cena, the actor who portrays the freedom seeking anti-hero in the world of DC comics. The characters moveset as mentioned is centered around the various abilities of his helmet, his expertise in firearms, and his loyal companion Eagly, the bald eagle. We even got to see one of the character’s fatalities involving a jetpack and his sonic boom ability. This will probably end up going down as one of the most fun character personalities to ever grace the Mortal Kombat series, the interactions with Johnny Cage are sure to be gold. The characters will be available for Kombat Pack owners starting February 28th, with a player wide release on March 6th. 

On top of the brand new character being showcased alongside its Kameo fighter, we got some more amazing news for players looking for a wider challenge. Kross play is officially coming to Mortal Kombat 1 on February 28th, meaning players on all platforms, including the Nintendo Switch surprisingly will be able to Kompete against each other, even seeing Kross Play leaderboards. There is also a free weekend coming for Mortal Kombat 1 on March 7th to the 10th, so new players can further make up their mind in joining the most brutal Kombat Tournament in all the realms.
