The latest expansion to Monster Hunter World, Iceborne, is expected to launch later this fall season to PlayStation and Xbox consoles. Just today, PlayStation revealed the newest Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Zinogre Trailer for the game on their YouTube channel. But that’s not all. In preparation for the title’s upcoming release, developers Capcom recently announced that the team will be hosting a limited-time opportunity for players to preview the newly added monsters, weapons, and missions to the game. The team will be “hosting a series of beta sessions” including four playable quests available to those who pre-load the game before its official launch date.
The beta will be free and open to anyone with internet access and either a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. There is no limitation on the number of playable sessions. As mentioned before, beta players can choose from four possible missions: Velkhana of the Frost, Great Devourer, The Big-horned Banbaro, and finally The Wild Tigrex. Players will also be able to test out some new features such as “The Clutch Claw”, a type of grappling hook that allows the player to “influence the target monster’s movements”, as well as a new form of transportation, the “Raider Ride.” All weapons have also received new action and combo mechanics. Complete each of these quests to receive special bonus that can be used when the full version is released.
