Pokémon Unite Will Become Available on Mobile One Week From Today

The long-awaited Pokémon Unite mobile game will be available to play on Android and iOS devices one week from today. In the game, players will be able to traverse Aeos Island in order to capture and evolve wild Pokémon by working together with others. What sets this game apart from other Pokémon games is the teamwork component. Battles take place in a 5v5 format where the team with the most points at the end of the game is the winner. Players must score points for their team, while simultaneously keeping the other team from scoring. Many new characters have been introduced to the game including the latest addition, Blastoise, as a defender with high endurance and support abilities.

Pre-registration has already begun. Originally The Pokémon Company had created a special event in order to celebrate the game’s mobile launch. Participants have been promised a Pikachu Unite license as well as a rare Holowear – Festival Style Pikachu if the game reaches its goal of 5,000,000 pre-registered players. Lucky for us, this goal has already been achieved, so those who pre-register now are guaranteed these items. There is also a special award waiting for Nintendo Switch players: a Zeraora Unite license that can be used in both the Nintendo Switch version and the Mobile version.

One new feature that is exclusive to Pokémon Unite is called Holowear, which allows Pokémon to wear costume during battle. The Holowear only operates once the Pokémon has reached its highest level and is a cosmetic advancement only. This new feature allows players to customize their Pokémon. Pokémon Unite mobile offers cross-play across all platforms, so mobile players are able to play with those already on Nintendo Switch. September 22, 2021, is the official release date for the Apple Store and for Google Play. Pre-register today to get started as soon as the game becomes available and be in on the exciting new prizes.
