Pokémon Go Valentines Day Event Starts Tomorrow

Valentine’s Day starts tomorrow, and with it, a new event will be available in Pokémon Go. According to the Pokémon Go website players will be able to enjoy the Pokémon Go Valentines Day event on February 14th at 8am. The event will bring a number of new Pokémon as well as several limited-time Research Field tasks.

The event will start tomorow and run for three days ending at 10pm local time on the 17th. For the duration of the event, players will be able to find an abundance of Chansey and Luvdisc. The event will also make it more likely that pink Pokémon will be hatched from eggs as well as increasing the encounter rate of pink Raid bosses. Players seeking out a shiny Chansey or Happiny will be in luck as the event will also increase the likelihood of encountering shiny Chanseys and hatching shiny Happinys.

The event will also add the two new thematically appropriate Gen 5 Pokémon Audino and Alomola. However, both of these Pokémon will be rare encounters so players will need to work hard to capture these elusive Pokémon. The event will also come with a set of bonuses. Firstly, instead of only lasting for 30 minutes, all Lure Modules will remain active for six hours, allowing players a greater chance to capture all the pink Pokémon they want. Not only that, but players will also receive twice the amount of Candy for every capture during the event. On the 15th, players will be able to participate in a special Raid Day from 2-5 PM allowing players to face off against a Lickitung that knows Body Slam in four-star Raids. If players are lucky, they will also have a chance to encounter a Shiny version of the Lickitung. Additionally, players can acquire up to five additional free Raid Passes by spinning Photo Discs  at the Gyms.
