Every team needs to have a leader, so at Comic-Con this year Niantic revealed the leaders of the three teams. You can view the leaders below. Candela is the leader of team Valor, Blanche is the leader of team Mystic, and Spark is the leader of team Instinct. Each of these character designs were released before, but were only left as silhouettes. It seems like a good time to reveal what the leaders look like, and their names since it is still early in the game’s cycle and as new countries are receiving the game could help their choice on what team to join.
Along with this big reveal, there was also some talk about some features that could come to Pokemon Go in the future. None of this is actually confirmed on being released for the game, but are just some ideas of what we might expect to see. John Hanke discussed that Pokemon Centers could be coming to the game, in the game and the shows Poke Centers were places to heal your Pokemon to full health. The actual usage of Poke Centers in this game are not exactly clear on what they will do as if there are many in an area around a gym this would make potions and revives useless as that so far battling gyms is the only way you would need to heal your Pokemon.
Another thing that Poke Centers were used for, was a place where you could trade Pokemon with your friends or your other games. So they could implement Poke Centers more for that, but would be too different from what we already know. But trading is something that is confirmed to come soon as Hanke said that “Niantic needs for the Pokemon Go servers to stabilise before they can introduce the ability to swap monsters with other players.” So we can expect to see more to come, but just have to be patient for the servers to get up to tip top shape to maximize the full potential of the game and its services.
