Xbox One Price Cut

As the Xbox One S gets closer to release, the Xbox 500 GB version has gone sale yet again. As part of a summer deal starting today, you can get your Xbox One for the reasonable price of $249 at most retailers. This has been the third time since May that the Xbox has gone on sale. This can be due to the fact that Microsoft has struggled to successfully sell a majority of their consoles. The console has been successful but it has fallen short on the amount of sales. This is clearly seen by the large difference between Xbox and PS4 sales.

These constant sales have been happening because “Microsoft looks to clear stock for the arrival of the new Xbox One S configurations.” So they are trying to clear as many shelves of their current console before releasing the more powerful version of the console. While this sale is great for a console like this, with a more powerful version coming out most people would probably wait for it to be released rather than purchase the super cheap weaker version.

However, if you do not care about the difference in strength of the console go ahead and take advantage of the sale while it is available. Not only would you get your hands on a next gen console for a decent price, but you would also get the chance to choose between these games: Forza Motorsport 6, Rise of the Tomb Raider,Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, or Rare Replay to come with your console. So you would get a new console and a $60 game all for the price of $249 without tax. The Xbox One S will go on sale in North America, Australia, and UK on August 2nd for $399 while the $299 500 GB and $349 1 TB Xbox configurations have not been announced yet. So either wait for the new version or take advantage of the sale version both are pretty good deals.
