Nintendo announced that for players of Pokémon Café Mix they can expect to recruit Chansey as well as Pokemon Sword and Shield starers – Scorbunny, Sobble, and Grookey – during special events next year. Many fan-favorite Pokémon have already been introduced to the game for players to recruit to help out in their café – some of these include the notorious Pikachu and Eevee. In order to enlist the Pokémons’ help, players will have to build a friendship with them. As they increase their staff, players can then complete puzzle challenges in order to expand their café. The latest event was back in September where players could feed Snorlax the finest treats in order to recruit him to their staff.
In order for players to acquire Chansey, they will have to partake in the “Chansey’s Happiness” event and keep Chansey happy before it joins the player’s staff. This limited event will last from January 12 to January 26. However, if players cannot wait that long, Scorbunny, Sobble, and Grookey are also up for grabs in their own events before Chansey. Players can expect to get Scorbunny first from December 29 to January 3, then Sobble next from January 3 to January 8, and finally Grookey from January 8 to January 12.
In other Pokémon news, there were also a lot of updates from Nintendo about where Pokémon Go is heading in the new year, including a new line-up of mega raids and costumed Pokémon to celebrate the new year.
Pokémon Café Mix was released back in June of 2020 and is a free-to-play puzzle game currently available on Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS devices.
