Indie game developer Haven Studios has reveled its first new IP at PlayStation Showcase 2023, competitive heist game called Fairgame$. The upcoming title follows an underground movement setting out to rob from the ultra-rich in style. In a PlayStation blog post, Haven Studios Creative Director Mathieu Leduc explained what players can expect from his studio’s upcoming game.
Leduc described Fairgame$ as “a thrilling competitive heist game where you join an underground movement to rob the ultra-rich and re-balance the scales.” Players will be able to take up the role as “…a modern-day Robin Hood, a thrill seeker, or just someone who wants to collect cool loot” and sneak through forbidden locations around the Fairgame$ world. Additionally, Fairgame$ will have PvP and emergent sandbox game-play.
According to Leduc, the development of Fairgame$ came from a desire to “…deliver a fresh multiplayer experience that rewards creativity and mastery and delivers surprising stories each and every time you play.” Leduc expressed his excitement at Fairgame$ reveal and at the Haven Studios team’s efforts in the games development.
“Every member of our team shares our vision to create welcoming and inclusive multiplayer experiences that glue communities together,” said Leduc. “This shared enthusiasm is the driving force behind our heist fantasy – how it really encourages you to work together in crews to plan and execute epic heists in the style and fashion you want.”
Fairgame$ will be coming to PlayStation 5 and PC, though no release date has been confirmed as of yet.
