What do fans of Atlus’ highly acclaimed Persona series want? Well, Persona 6. But in lieu of that Atlus is giving us some additional content while we wait for Persona 6’s arrival in the form of remakes for Persona 3, as well as an announcement for a remake for Persona 4, and just yesterday they’ve released for the western sphere Persona 5: The Phantom X for mobile devices and Steam.

Persona 5 is Atlus’ biggest game, well, ever. So it makes sense that Persona 5 gets spinoffs and guest appearances wherever people will take them. It makes sense that a gacha was in the works for Persona 5 as well. Persona naturally lends itself to gachapon systems, additional party members and additional Personas are things you can roll for, after all.

As I said, Persona 5: The Phantom X is now available for Android, iOS, and Steam. It’s 70 GB to download it for Steam, however, so be sure your hard drives have a bit of space leftover to contain it. 70 gigs is a massive amount for a gacha game, in fact it’s larger than Persona 5: Royal itself which clocks in at around 40 GB, so there should be a good amount of content in there for those who want to play as a high school student by day and Phantom Thief by night.

Gachas aren’t for everyone, you can play them for free but the real sink has and always will be time. If you’ve got the space on your PC or phone and are really hankering for more Persona content I highly recommend at least trying it, however. It’s free, and there’s no harm in just giving it a test drive to see if you like it. Hopefully this can help tide us over for the inevitable Persona 6 release.
