Omensight Presents A New Perspective On Preventing The Apocalypse

The idea of using time travel to change fate and prevent the apocalypse isn’t exactly a new one in the world of science fiction. So in order to make it interesting again, creators need to look at it from a new angle.

Omensight, the newest offering from Spearhead Studios, aims to do just that. You play as The Harbinger, a warrior who doesn’t have to play by the rules of time. You are shown a vision of the world destroyed and are sent to stop the events that led to its demise. Pretty simple so far.

Here’s the thing though – you don’t know what happened. In order to stop the apocalypse, you first have to play detective. Examining the moments before and after this world ending event, you have to piece together the lives of several of its citizens and determine what their role in the events was.

For a glimpse at the vision of doom and the cartoony residents of Urralia, the world you are trying to save, here is the announcement trailer:

It is an intriguing combination of murder mystery and time travel, with RPG elements at its disposal. Fans of Spearhead Studios previous title Stories: The Paths of Destiny, will be thrilled to know that they are calling Omensight a “spiritual successor” that exists in the same universe. “…if you enjoyed Stories, you will LOVE Omensight.”

This game also boasts an updated combat system from their last title, as well as a variety of mechanics used to manipulate time and help or hinder various characters in order to hopefully role back the world ending events that you foresaw taking place.

Omensight will be available on Steam later in 2018. For more news on the game, keep an eye on their website.
