Nintendo Releases Final Tears of the Kingdom Trailer Before Launch

Legend of Zelda fans have been excited about Tears of the Kingdom, the next installment in this immense franchise. Ever since the success of Breath of the Wild, the game’s predecessor, this community has been highly anticipating the newest release. Just recently, Nintendo posted new promotional content for the game.

Nintendo of America published a new trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom yesterday. The trailer was distributed across Nintendo of America’s social media platforms, currently #3 Trending on YouTube at 5.9 million views. This is the final trailer for Tears of the Kingdom before its imminent release, with it receiving positive reactions.

The trailer begins with Link diving through the skies of Hyrule before gliding onto grassy lands. He explores Hyrule’s vast terrain, from peaceful villages to tall mountains. However, the trailer takes a dramatic turn when it shows Link diving through the air to catch a falling Zelda. Link is then shown exploring dangerous lands and even riding a horse. The trailer cuts to a conversation between Zelda and an unknown individual, where they talk about how Link will be “the last line of defense”. Link is also seen in combat with various enemy types. The trailer also features the return of Ganondorf, who was confirmed to be voiced by Matthew Mercer.

Legend of Zelda fans have been eager about Tears of the Kingdom since its recent gameplay presentation. However, there’ve been couple of disputes over the game outside development. One of them was Nintendo’s recent subpoena of Discord due to a highly sensitive Tears of the Kingdom art book leaking on the platform. The game’s $70 price has also garnered some controversy. Regardless, Tears of the Kingdom‘s release is sure to amaze longtime Legends of Zelda players.

The Legends of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is scheduled to launch on May 12th for the Nintendo Switch.
