The stream can be watched from their YouTube channel.
Indie World showcases are similar in style to Nintendo Directs, Nintendo’s longtime series of videos containing new information about upcoming games. The last Nintendo Direct took place in early September and focused on the Switch games releasing through the end of 2019, such as the then-upcoming Luigi’s Mansion 3 and Pokémon Sword and Shield. While Nintendo Directs typically focus on big IPs and titles, Indie World gives the spotlight solely to new indie games. The last Indie World took place back in August at Gamescom 2019 and showed off a plethora of titles coming to the Switch within 2019 and 2020.
Indie World won’t be the only gaming announcement stream tomorrow, as Sony will also be having their final PlayStation State of Play presentation tomorrow morning, hours before Nintendo’s Indie World. Premiering at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET, the new State of Play will run for about twenty minutes and include “new game reveals, release date announcements, new gameplay footage, PlayStation Worldwide Studios updates, and more.” Sony has confirmed there will not be any new information about the PlayStation 5 during this stream.
The Indie World showcase isn’t the Nintendo news this week. Nintendo recently announced six classic SNES and NES titles coming to the Nintendo Switch Online library, including Star Fox 2 and Kirby Super Star, on December 12.
