Nintendo Announces Ending of Dragalia Lost for July 2022

Dragalia Lost has been one of Nintendo’s top mobile games since it was released back in 2016. Although still a well-liked game, Dragalia Lost will be ending sometime after July of 2022

In their official announcement, Nintendo said “The Dragalia Lost main campaign is scheduled to reach its conclusion in July of 2022 with part two of chapter 26, the final and climactic addition to its long-running story”. Nintendo did not provide many details about the future of the game but they did confirm that it would be shut down sometime after. Nintendo said “After the main campaign has concluded, service for the game itself will come to a close at a later date. Further details on the end-of-service schedule will be provided in a future notification”.

Dragalia Lost is a mobile RPG game that is based in the world of Alberia. Alberia is an ancient world where humans and dragons live and work together.

Since the 2016 release, it is estimated Dragalia Lost has generated over $146 million in revenue for Nintendo. The generated revenue comes in second of all Nintendo games and only trails Fire Emblem Heroes.

The news of Dragalia Lost ending comes after Nintendo announced the ending of another mobile game, Dr. Mario World. Dr. Mario World was also a popular game that Nintendo chose to shut down back in November of 2021.

Although many fans would like more mobile games from Nintendo, it is likely that the company will continue to focus on their console games that have become very popular across the country.
