The indie Danish developers, Logic Artists, are back with another title in their acclaimed Expeditions series. The upcoming game follows the 2013 title Expeditions: Conquistador and the 2017 title Expeditions: Vikings. The next much-awaited Expedition game is going to be set in Rome and is thus aptly named Expeditions: Rome.
We’re finally able to announce that we’ve been working on Expeditions: Rome! Congratulations to those of you who suggested this for our next instalment. It’s obviously been a while in the making but then… Rome wasn’t built in a day, you know?https://t.co/QgnomUQfmw

Similar to its predecessors, Expeditions: Rome is a strategy RPG focused on the choices that players will make throughout the story. These choices will shape the game and “the fate of Rome itself.” Players will enter the game during ancient times at the height of the Roman Empire. The title centers on Legatus after he is forced to escape Rome after the death of his father. In order to return to his home, players must slowly build up Legatus’s military prowess, combat power, and relationships with fellow soldiers as he attempts to undermine a Greek rebellion.
There are many customization options available in Expeditions: Rome for Legatus so that players can create their character exactly to their personal specifications, including gender, class, skills, and more. As Legatus levels up, players can select a range of active and passive skills to improve their skills on the battlefield. Speaking of battlefields, players will journey through a range of different countries on their quest to return to Rome, including North Africa, Greece, Gaul, and more.
Expeditions: Rome does not have a specific release date as of yet, however, it is expected to come out sometime this year on PC through Steam. In the meantime, feel free to check out the two predecessors, Expedition: Conquistador and Expeditions: Vikings.
