New Content Update for Mordheim: City of the Damned

Another update was released last week for tabletop turned game Mordheim: City of the Damned. This is the third update for the games Early Access phase that includes both new content and general fixes.

One of the biggest upgrades in this update is running the game on the latest version of Unity, Unity 5 instead of its original Unity 4. These upgrades enhance the lighting, effects, and shadows of the game giving it a very polished look. Though upgrading the engine brings stable optimization and less bugs, there is a possibility for some issues to be harder to fix “as they are internal to the engine,” so keep that in mind when testing out the latest specs.

In the last update, Rogue Factor and Focus added the Cult of the Possessed to the world of Mordheim for players to enjoy and now you can try them out as well as all other warbands on their new maxed out levels starting at rank 10. Test out and experience how powerful your units will be once gaining xp and leveling are enabled in future updates. Spells and skills have a new menu that helps customize what your units can learn. This menu is located in the hideout and also features music specific to each warband.

Last month we saw the addition of new objectives in the skirmish playlist and now you can expect three more maps for your band to test out. One is a procedural map while the other two are located at the bridge and library. These new maps are great for sniping and ambushes so take your units out to battle in these new arenas. Also users have the ability to choose how many backtracking circles they can have.

These are only the featured upgrades included in this update, for a full list please visit Mordheim’s Steam community page. Since the game is still in its Early Access Phase, please stay tuned for future updates. As always you can find Mordheim: City of the Damned on Steam.
