New Trailer and Official Release Date Revealed for Upcoming Puzzle Platformer Planet of Lana

Earlier today, a trailer dropped for the upcoming puzzle-platformer, Planet of Lana, which showed gameplay and revealed the official release date for the game, as reported by IGN. Planet of Lana was developed by Wishfully and published by Thunderful Publishing, is set to release on May 23, 2023 for Xbox One, Xbox X/S and PC.

The official Planet of Lana website states that the game is a hand-painted puzzle adventure game, set in an epic sci-fi setting on a planet that has been terrorized by a faceless army. The goal of the game is to save the protagonist’s sister, as well as trying to keep the world in harmony between humans, nature and animals while a faceless army tries to destroy that balance.

Steam offers a list of some of the unique aspects of the game that makes it worthwhile for those who are fans of the genre and even for those who aren’t. The key features include unique companion-based gameplay. Solve puzzles with diverse challenges and quirky twists. Carefully navigate dangerous situations using stealth and wit. Use your reflexes and survive challenging action sequences. Discover an epic story that stretches across galaxies and centuries.

The game is meant to allow the environment to tell a story for them with interesting puzzles that slowly ramp up in difficulty as the game progresses. A lot of effort has been put into the art and style behind the game, which is trying to aid in the story being told through the gameplay. Very little has been shown about what fans can expect later into the game, but what has been shown seems to be a glimpse into what players can expect at the core of Planet of Lana’s gameplay.

A demo of the game is out already for those who are interested in trying the game out early. For those who already know that they want the game, it will be out in less than three weeks, which will finally conclude a production process of almost six full years.
