Frantic Games Raises 2.4 Million Dollars in Funds

The Turkey based company, Frantic Games, raised 2.4 million dollars in pre-seed funding in order to create action-based hybrid mobile games. With this new funding, Frantic Games plans to release a number of titles and expand their reach within the next couple of years. Their biggest contributors during the pre-seed round were the Israeli based company VGames, the capital firm Emerging Europe 500, and European entrepreneur Akın Babayiğit.

“I am very excited to support the Frantic team, who thoroughly impressed me with their creativity, rigor and perseverance,” said investor Akın Babayiğit, in a statement. “They are smart, hungry and know the market inside and out. I look forward to seeing what they will achieve in the coming years.”

The company wants to invest in development and acceleration expansion especially with the funding as their plans are to deliver inspirational, challenging, and delightful gaming experiences to all players. Furthermore, they want to foster a holistic community who all share the same aspirations as the team. Being one of the five-hundred and twenty game studios based in Turkey, Frantic Games sees this new milestone as a strong indication that their country is still strong in the mobile gaming industry.

Frantic Games is a start up mobile gaming company founded in November 2022 in Ankara, Turkey. The team started with CEO Kürşad Can Mutlu, CTO Ali Dal, art director Anıl Duyal Baydır, and technical art director Alican Sayan. Each character has their own professional backgrounds and experience in the gaming industry prior to Frantic Games.

CEO of Frantic Games, Kürşad Can Mutlu stated after the funding round, “At Frantic Games, we firmly believe that the team is the most crucial KPI for success.”

Each member had at least seven years of experience within the mobile gaming sector, with prior jobs at Loop Games, MagicLab Games and Ruby Games. Their portfolios include titles such as Match 3D, Match Tile 3D, Touchdown Glory, Epic Race, and Fidget Trading. Currently, the team has six people, but Frantic Games wishes to expand to at least twelve in the near future.

Alican Sayan states that the game they will be creating is an action shooter with driving mechanics. The company wanted to focus on the hybrid casual genre since they see that area as a chance to combine somewhat complex mechanics to provide clean design concepts for deeper meta structures.

This sizable sum indicates a considerable amount of faith in the company’s objective and the potential growth of mobile gaming in Turkey.
