If you are a big fan of open world RPG games, then you should keep a lookout for this upcoming mobile game, Spiritus. Similar to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and the Pokemon series, Spiritus is an open world game that will allow users to freely explore new areas, defend off from enemies, and fulfill quests from start to finish. In combination to the two dimensional pixel aesthetic and various functionalities within the game, Spiritus may provide the immersive experience users were looking for on their devices.
“This is Spiritus, an open world RPG mobile game, where you have the freedom to explore anything, and master anything. Explore the infinite world. Discover massive structures. Search for rare animals. Fulfill quests, and donate money to rebuild the local school. Join in the deep lore of the historical world, fight gangs and terrorists. Defend cities from attacks and develop bonds with villagers. There is enough to do in Spiritus.” stated on the TinyNerd Games Instagram post.
As for the controls, TinyNerd has also taken meticulous steps to design a comfortable and intuitive gameplay. Users will be required to “swipe to move interface…you can toggle between combat mode and walking/running mode. Combat is also swipe based. We are heavily against using on-screen buttons and joysticks, but sometimes, it is necessary,” stated by the company’s Reddit post. The game, however, is said to lean toward more peaceful explorations with some combats in between.
Though the game is still in development, TinyNerd will release its pre-alpha (not feature complete) version for all mobile devices by the end of June 2020. If you are interested in being part of the game’s journey to development, you can join their Discord server, Reddit discussion thread, or read their weekly updates on their website. Even if the game is incomplete at the moment, support for their small but promising game may be all what TinyNerd just needs for their quest to completion.
