New Mobile Card Game Featuring Futurama, Bob’s Burgers, and More Announced

It was announced today that all of Fox’s best animated shows, and Family Guy, will be coming together in a crossover collectable card game for mobile devices.  The new game is called Throwdown: Quest for Cards and will feature characters from Family Guy, Futurama, King of the Hill, American Dad, and Bob’s Burgers.  Surprisingly The Simpsons are left out, but there is already a Simpsons mobile game called The Simpsons: Tapped Out.

Animation Throwdown: The Quest for Cards will be a competitive card battle game in the vein of games like Hearthstone.  The game is being developed by Kongregate, responsible for mobile games like Tiny Dice Dungeon, and Chinzilla, who made the mobile game Little Alchemist.  Fox Digital Entertainment is producing the game as well as advertising it on Gamestop’s website and stores.

The Quest for Cards has been scheduled for a Q3 2016 release for Apple and Android devices, with a release on other platforms soon after that.  No other details have been revealed.

All this sounds like a pretty fun idea.  I’m just glad to see King of the Hill back in some way.  I’ll definitely have a Dale Gribble/Boomhauer focused deck, and I already know what’s going to be OP.
