New Mass Effect: Andromeda Gameplay

Earlier this week, there was a survey that was leaked online that revealed many new details on Mass Effect: Andromeda. Following this survey, later in the week a video was posted showing the player using a jet pack. Although this gif is said to have been taken back in 2014, these quick short pieces of game play makes us think what does the game look like now.

By introducing a jet pack, this opens up a new dimension that the past installments did not have. This just makes the world of Mass Effect a little bigger since we would be able to find new paths to objectives or find new hidden things around the world. This installment’s leaked description already brings a new twist on the Mass Effect series. Because in Andromeda,

Players will lead the fight for a new home in history territory–where WE are the aliens–opposed by a deadly indigenous race bent on stopping us.

Andromeda, will also appear to be more open world as the description continues with,

Experience the freedom to traverse and explore a planet-dense but seamless open-world galaxy, rich with discovery. Play as the leader of a squad of military-trained explorers in an intense third-person shooter, with deep progression and customization systems. This is the story of humanity’s next chapter, and player choices throughout the game will ultimately determine our survival in the Andromeda galaxy.

Although this project was pushed back to 2017 rather than this holiday, it seems like the end product will be worth waiting for.
