News back in March let Nintendo fans know that two new Switch models were reportedly in the works. One model would be geared more toward the avid gamer giving the system stronger specs and more graphical clarity. While the other model would be one that is smaller and for more casual gamers that enjoy mobility and playing on the go anywhere with less graphical specs. Not much more has been said about the two models, but a recent leak of an accessory for the Switch Mini has given a good visual of what the final product may look like.
A few weeks ago another leak of the Switch Mini Reportedly surfaced. BGR shared some information that was not concrete, but gave some insight on what the Switch Mini may look like based on another accessory. This information was given to Nintendolife via a HonSon representative. “We’ve spoken to a HonSon representative about the product listings in question, and have been told that the company has based these products on ‘secret’ information and that it is waiting for Nintendo to officially confirm the system before putting these items into production; HonSon will then ‘adjust the model to ensure it can perfectly suit the console. The representative also confirmed that, based on the information they has received, the Switch Mini is (as the name suggests) “a little smaller” than the current version.”
This leak contained a small amount of substance, but now a leak by Roland Quandt from WinFuture of another accessory, a new silicone case, further solidifies the rumors regarding the Switch Mini. The Silicone case accessory is called the “Mini Switch 2”. A rendered drawing of what the model would look like provided by Roland with the accessory on was also provided.
Whether or not these images are true is uncertain of course. Although, Nintendo continued to deny claims of any production of the new models during E3. More information on the new models will likely arise in the coming months if true.
