New Killer Instinct DLC Character Has Machine Guns for Arms

The next DLC character is now available for Microsoft’s free-to-play fighting game, Killer InstinctThe new character is named Kilgore. Kilgore might be a portmanteau of kill and gore or it might be a coincidence. Either way, Kilgore is soon to be coming to the ever growing roster of fighters in the game. Being part of the newest patch, Kilgore will be available in January, according to developer Iron Galaxy. Iron Galaxy added that they will release more details on how to obtain Kilgore in the next couple of weeks.

At the 1:08 mark of the video above, you will be able to see what Kilgore looks like. Kilgore is literally a killing machine, as in it is a robot toting machine guns for arms. In a quick fight scene, you can see Kilgore jumping at an enemy with what appears to be a rocket booster at the heels of Kilgore’s feet and throwing punches with his machine gun arms. Killer Instinct community manager Rukari Austin said in the video that there will be opportunities to fight Kilgore before the character’s release, but no details on how that would happen were given.

The video also explains the multiple ways that the different characters have changed, including a new outfit for Thunder for players who own Thunder. There is also an award system in the game. One award is a retro skin for the character Orchid.

The next update for Killer Instinct is now out for Xbox One and PC. The patch contains the ability to chose between Survival vs AI and Shadow, without actually owning a Shadow. You can also unlock new skins, including gold skins and platinum skins.

Gameplay has changed; now breaking combo only can restore 50% of potential damage, rather than the previous 100%. Passive damage regeneration now occurs at three seconds, as opposed to the previous one second.

The month of March 2016 had the highest number of players playing Killer Instinct, getting to as a high as 6 million players.

I'm a big Pokémon fan, so I'l spend a lot of my time playing that. Other than that, I love sports, particularly the Charlotte Hornets and the Carolina Panthers. No matter how bad the team is, I will always rep them.
