New Double XP Events for Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered, Infinite Warfare

Activision has announced that there will be double XP events for both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare‘s event begins on January 27 at 10 AM PT and runs for an entire week ending at the same time on February 3. Just as the tweet says, the double XP events work with regular XP as well as weapon XP.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is a little different. The double XP event for that game also starts January 27 at 10 AM PT, but it will only last for the weekend, ending at the same time on January 30 and you will only be able to receive double XP only on regular XP, not on weapon XP.

The double XP events come days before the release of the fist Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare DLC called Sabotage, which comes out on January 31 for PS4. The expansion provides new multiplayer maps and Zombies content that features film director Kevin Smith.

The Zombies content stars Kevin Smith (Clerks, Mallrats) as himself, as well as the four stars from the initial Zombies in Spaceland map. So that’s Ike Barinholtz (Neighbors, Suicide Squad), Seth Green (Robot Chicken, Austin Powers), Jay Pharoah (White Famous, Saturday Night Live), and Sasheer Zamata (Saturday Night Live, Inside Amy Schumer).

The new multiplayer maps are Noir, Neon, Renaissance, and Dominion. The latter is called a “remake” of the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 level Afghan.

In other Call of Duty news, the franchise was the top-selling console series of 2016, despite Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare selling fewer launch copies than the game released before itCall of Duty: Black Ops III.

I'm a big Pokémon fan, so I'l spend a lot of my time playing that. Other than that, I love sports, particularly the Charlotte Hornets and the Carolina Panthers. No matter how bad the team is, I will always rep them.
