Bethesda Softworks and Arkane Studios have released new trailer for the upcoming action adventure game, Dishonored 2 on Bethesda Softwork’s YouTube channel. The new trailer focuses on Corvo Attano, one of the playable characters in Dishonored 2 and the protagonist of Dishonored. The trailer takes place 15 years after the events of the first Dishonored game. The narrative trailer shows Corvo taking revenge on Delilah. Delilah is the usurper who took the throne from Royal Protector Corvo’s daughter Empress Emily Kaldwin. The trailer can be viewed below.
The trailer, like the other gameplay trailers, shows off the industrial setting that the game takes place in. The game stylistically and visually as a whole looks very aesthetically pleasing, especially to those who have taken a liking to the game’s unique “Whale-punk” world. Corvo still has his abilities and they have only grown better with age. The “Blink” ability now allows the player to pause time and choose their destination. The possession ability can be linked from host to host, allowing Corvo to move through locations in a new, stealthy way. “Bend Time” can now be used to speed or slow down time as the player needs. This is what has been shown so far, but according to Bethesda, “That’s just the tip of the iceberg.”
In Dishonored 2, the player will be able to control two different characters and either choose to continue the story from the first game or step into a new perspective. As revealed earlier this year, Corvo’s daughter Empress Emily Kaldwin will be playable character. Each one of these characters will have their own unique abilities and storyline. This was revealed in the trailer that was released during Gamescom 2016, and was discussed as part of our coverage, the article can be viewed here. Dishonored 2‘s story will be dependent on how the player the chooses to play the game. Depending on whether or not they choose to take a path of stealth, one of brutality, or a mixture of both; the story will unfold differently.
Dishonored 2 is set to be released November 11th. Dishonored 2 will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. More information on Dishonored 2 can be seen on the game’s official website, here.
