Netflix Adds Moonlighter to Their Games Library

Moonlighter was initially released for Playstation 4 and PC consoles before the success resulted in Xbox and Switch each getting the game as well. After some time, an IOS version was released and eventually pulled offline in 2020. The game will now be coming back to mobile devices through the Netflix Games Library.

Although the game is very popular on consoles, many people were unsure about why the game was removed from IOS. In a Reddit post, 11 Bit Studios said “Moonlighter has been taken down from both mobile stores: Google Play and App Store. While we are working on a different distribution model, the game won’t be available for purchasing at these stores anymore. However, on the accounts that the game has been purchased for, it will be further available. That said, the players who bought the game, are still going to have it, enjoy, and fight monsters in the dungeons to get loot and sell it for monies. Thank you.”

Moonlighter follows Will, a shopkeeper who dreams about one day becoming a hero. In order to make money, Will must travel into the dungeons near his town to collect inventory that he can sell at his shop. Will must fight different bosses and sell his inventory to eventually open the final dungeon in the game and become a hero.

Netflix is surely looking to continue expanding its games library and adding even more popular games. The inclusion of Moonlighter will draw a lot of fans from the Moonlighter community who are looking for more ways to play. Along with the inclusion of Relic Hunters, Netflix has created a large group of games for their subscribers to play.
