Nerd Kingdom’s TUG, brings social sciences to the mix, that allows for players to control humanoids known as Seedlings, and control how the game evolves in this multiplayer, open-world, sandbox-RPG game. Yesterday, Nerd Kingdom announced that they are having a new partner for their game, who is the leading YouTube gaming broadcasting group, The Yogscast. Not many partnerships happen between game and leading YouTuber’s, but the announcement mentions that, “this is one of the first of its kind and this will bring original TUG contents onto Yogscast’s YouTube channels.”
Since our last article on TUG (The Untitled Game), Nerd Kingdom launched their alpha on Steam Early Access back on March 28th, with a recent alpha 0.6.2 update made on June 5th. “TUG’s engine is built in-house with a heavy focus on architecture to empower modders and server owners.”

“We are all about making worlds and tools, and The Yogscast is all about sharing them, we just fit,” said Peter Salinas, Founder of Nerd Kingdom and a developer on TUG. “Being huge Yogscast fanboys and geeks ourselves, we are ecstatic to be working so closely with them.”
If you are not part of the fanboys/fangirls of Yogscast team, then here’s a little background behind what they have brought to the Minecraft community. Many of the videos they have uploaded on their individual channels have brought many mods and maps to Minecraft. Between Tekkit and Thaumcraft, and also adventures on Hexxit from Duncan, and building a Jaffa Factory. Another Minecraft mod adventure known as Hole Diggers that stars Lewis, Simon, and Duncan, which has them build the future to their factory. These mods and maps being brought from the Yogscast, brings powerful and crazy ideas to gamer’s of what actually can be done in sandbox games like Minecraft, and now TUG.
“We’re always looking for great new gaming experiences to share on our channels and as massive fans of what the guys have been doing with TUG, we are really excited to be partnering with Nerd Kingdom,”said Lewis Brindley, co-founder of Yogscast. “We’re looking forward to having a key role in helping Nerd Kingdom deliver a game that all Yognau(gh)ts will want to play and making some really cool videos along the way.”
“As this opportunity comes at a time when the developer of Yogventures, Winterkewl Games LLC, has had to cease development, we also want to announce that everyone that backed the game on Kickstarter or pre-ordered it from Winterkewl Games will get a free copy of TUG,” added Mark Turpin, Yogscast CEO.
Supporters for both Kickstarter and Yogventures will be able to receive a code for TUG via Steam Early Access and they will also receive the final copy of the game, once it finally is released. Supporters for Yogventures will be able to get exclusive rewards for TUG based on the amount they pledged, and Nerd Kingdom also mentions that they will offer the supporters a chance to have their input in how TUG is developed. Yogventures backers keep an eye out for an email in the coming days.
