Neko Atsume Developers Release Table Frog

The developer of the beloved mobile game Neko Atsume has just released another endearing title: Table Frog.

Similar to Neko Atsume’s initial release, Table Frog’s interface is only available in Japanese right now, but can be downloaded from any country. The gameplay is not as simplistic as Neko Astume, making following Japanese instructions more cumbersome, but still relatively palatable. Players play as a frog who goes on regular trips to gather items which can later be exchanged for treats through a reward system.

Before the frog begins gathering materials, players must plan for the journey. Handing off clovers, handling currency, bringing food, and tending to various accessories is part of the micro-managing process. Following the frog’s travels, users’ stock is replenished.

Table Frog follows the same nomadic gameplay mechanics akin to Neko Atsume, but instead of showcasing multiple cats the player waits for, this new title only contains one animal that makes a return. This means that gameplay is a bit sparer, and there isn’t much to do in the few hours in which the player is waiting. Though, for those with busier schedules who just want a few minutes to devote to a game a day, Table Frog is an excellent choice.

Currently, Table Frog is out on both iOS and Andriod devices.
