2018 Game Developers Choice Awards Nominees Announced

Today, organizers of the 18th Annual Game Developers Choice Awards released their full list of nominees for this year’s show.

The awards ceremony will take place on March 21, 2018 at 6:30 PM in San Francisco at this year’s Game Developers Conference. it will be held in conjunction with the Independent Games Festival who announced their nominees earlier this week.

The list shows off what a great and varied year 2017 was for gaming, for AAA studios and independent developers. Horizon Zero Dawn and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild lead with six nominations each, with PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and Nier: Automata making several appearances as well. In fact, many of the titles nominated made our own best of 2017 list.

There will also be three individual awards given for Pioneer, Ambassador, and Lifetime Achievement. Those nominations will be announced soon. And finally, The Audience Award, which is open to any nominated title, opens for online voting in late January.
