In release on the game’s website, Turn 10 Studios announced the Forza Motorsport 6 NASCAR Expansion, releasing today on Xbox One.
“The expansion features an all-new NASCAR World Tour career with over 10 hours of racing,” reads the release from Turn 10. The expansion also includes 24 2016-season NASCAR models, as well as a new location – Homestead-Miami Speedway.
While players will be able to host traditional NASCAR races at any of the game’s several speedways, Turn 10 emphasizes the “what if” factor the expansion adds:
How would American stock cars fare against Australian V8s at Bathurst, or against WEC prototypes at Le Mans? With the NASCAR World Tour career, players will be able to live these fantasies and answer those questions for themselves, competing in unique events across the cosmopolitan lineup of tracks and circuits in Forza Motorsport 6. Whether battling it out against GT and endurance racers from the world’s top motorsports leagues, sharing the track with open wheelers from IndyCar and Formula E, or testing the limits on classic American ovals like Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Daytona International Speedway, this is NASCAR like you’ve never experienced it before.
One of the main draws of Forza Motorsport 6 since its launch is the ability to hold races involving different cars from different types of classes. While driving an American Stock Car around the Nürburgring sounds incredibly dangerous and terrifying, it is now something Forza Motorsport 6 players can do.
