One of the most surprising games to release back in 2019 was My Friend Pedro. With critics raving about this game’s intense action and its exceptional review scores, gamers were left clamoring for more. Now, after years of fanfare, Devolver Digital and DeadToast Entertainment have announced a new entry in the series today.
The new installment in the series, titled My Friend Pedro: Ripe For Revenge, is a free-to-play mobile game launching on iOS and Android. From the trailer, we can see that the gameplay will remain mostly the same as its predecessor. Fans can expect the same back flipping, skateboarding, and gun-blazing action in this mobile successor. Albeit with a more toned down and simpler art style than the first game.
The game’s description on the iOS App Store reads, “They kidnapped his wife and kids and left him for dead. But it’s going to take more than that to split this banana’s family. Help your friend Pedro serve some ice cold revenge, with a sprinkle of bullets on top! My Friend Pedro is back in a brand new mobile adventure of blood, bullets and bananas! Flip and fire your way through 37 action packed levels on foot, on a motorcycle and even on a skateboard. Plan your high caliber choreography for the best scores and, if your skin is tough enough, test your skills in Blood Rush mode.”
Those looking to get their hands on this game won’t have to wait long, as it releases next month on August 5th. And, for those who want to be sure they play this as soon as possible, pre-registration is already available. If you didn’t get a chance to check out the original My Friend Pedro and all of its back-flipping glory, this free-to-play installment might just be the one that sucks you into this unique action packed series.
