Moonlight Peaks, developed by Little Chicken, is a single player farming simulator game that combines the supernatural with the natural, the cozy with the gothic. Set in the magical town of Moonlight Peaks, the game centers around a vampire who has moved into their family’s abandoned farmstead. This vampire persona and the farmstead are customizable, granting players the chance to fit their character and home to their tastes. Players can also adopt a three-eyed hell kitten pet into their farms.
The game includes seven families, consisting of werewolves, witches, ghosts, seers, humans, mermaids, and fellow vampires. Players can befriend or romance the locals, uncovering secrets about the town and each family. There are two dozen romanceable characters for players to choose from, but that is not all the game has to offer.
Farming in Moonlight Peaks takes on a unique experience as the game features enchanted crops and mystical livestock. Crops must be harvested by moonlight, revamping the farming style by using a nocturnal time cycle. Players can also learn paranormal farming techniques that can range from helping crops grow faster to making harvesting easier. Some of the mystical livestock includes the draculambs and piggoats with more to be revealed at launch.
Other magical abilities include potion-making, spell-casting, and transfiguration. There are potions that allow players to change their appearance and spells useful for resource gathering. Spells and potions can be learned from the witches in town, encouraging players to interact with the NPCs.
Moonlight Peaks has a live demo available on Steam and is set to release July 7th, 2026 for both PC and the Nintendo Switch. It is available now for pre-order on the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. The game’s price is set at $34.99, but there will be a 15% launch discount available for the first week beginning on July 7th.
