Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak Final Digital Event

Throw Capcom into the madness that is the month of June for yet another video game event. The company has announced that they will host a special live event dubbed the Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak Final Digital Event. The event, as it’s name suggests, will pertain only to Monster Hunter Hunter Rise: Sunbreak expansion along with the Bonus Update ver. 16, and some developer interviews. This will be the apparent finale for the title as well, as also shown in the event’s name, and that the DLC will be “going out with a bang”.

The event will be livestreamed on Capcom’s official Twitch channel, at 7:00 AM PST/10:00 AM EST. There will also be pre-show that will start at 6:30am PST/9:30 AM EST on the same channel. For those who are unable to catch the stream on Twitch, Capcom will also upload the entire event to their YouTube channel once it has finished. As we already mentioned, this livestream will also have a roundtable interview with several developers who have worked on the project and the expansion. The event will also shed some light on the development process and how it will commence on the last pieces of content.

Monster Hunter Rise has really blossomed into one of Capcom’s most successful entries from the fabled franchise. When it released back in 2021, it was a juggernaut for the then-exclusive Nintendo Switch, selling more than 7.5 million units by the end of the year. It’s expansion, Sunbreak, also broke out and and essentially became second coming of Rise, selling more than five million units world wide by early 2023. Even though this will be the final digital event for the title, we can still expect to see some new monsters revealed for hunters to locate and take down, and then, hopefully, a reveal for a brand new entry in the franchise.
