As of 11am PT today, the newest Overwatch hero, Moira, is available to play on the competitive ladder.
Overwatch has only had one other support introduced since release—the healing sniper Ana—so having another main healing option with less demanding aim should bring some welcome variety to the metagame. Additionally, her immense burst healing potential, able to heal multiple allies for over 100 health per second, should enable previously dominant strategies like the “triple-tank” composition, as well as a host of setups we’ve never seen before.
Moira has been one of the most positively-reviewed new heroes in all of Overwatch, and players can definitely be thankful today—both that a new way to play is here, and that Blizzard continues to support and grow the game.
