Mini Metro and Mini Motorways Devs Celebrate 10 Years With “Miniversary” Update

Dinosaur Polo Club, the developers behind Mini Metro and Mini Motorways, are celebrating 10 years since they first released Mini Metro, bringing a large content update coming to both games. The anniversary referred to by Dinosaur Polo Club as “Miniversary,” will feature new content for both Mini Metro and Mini Motorways.

Much recently, the devs had asked for the community to vote on what map from Mini Metro they wanted to see come to Mini Motorways, and as announced today New York City will make its debut into Mini Motorways. As well, the new map comes with an additional five other maps coming to both games— bringing it to six in total. Dinosaur Polo Club also announced the content that will be bringing the most exciting new feature to Mini Motorways: trains. Trains will make their debut into three of the new maps, New York City, Mumbai and London, they’ll bring new challenges for player’s hectic mini-cities. Mini Metro will see the introduction of Tokyo, Lisbon and Warsaw as new playable maps.

Ben Emerson, the Marketing Coordinator for Dinosaur Polo Club said alongside today’s announcement, “It’s a special milestone to celebrate with our players and bring so many exciting crossover maps and features into both games for everyone to enjoy. I think players will really like the addition of trains into Mini Motorways too, it’s been a long time coming, and this has felt like the perfect time to introduce such a highly requested new feature to this game.”

Mini Metro first released in 2015 on PC and Mac, and received its mobile debut the following year. The game was well received for both its relaxing gameplay while keeping players under constant pressure to maintain their rail lines. Mini Motorways a spiritual successor to Metro released exclusively on Apple Arcade in 2019. Both games still receive new content updates.

The update will go live July 24th for both Mini Motorways and Mini Metro. Both are available on Apple Arcade, iOS App Store, Google Play Store, Steam, and Nintendo Switch.
