Microsoft Press Conference Reveals More Than 50 Games On Stage

To start off the press conference, a teaser trailer for Halo Infinite was shown off to an exhilarating reveal. Afterwards, Phil Spencer took the stage to announce that 50 games, 18 exclusives and 15 world premiers, would be featured during E3 and the press conference.

The first exclusive on that list is the followup to the largely successful Ori and the Blind Forest, Ori and the Will of the Wisps. The title is expected in 2019.

The next game was the world premier for the next From Software game, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, a hack-and-slash game similar to the previous Souls games. It is expected to be released sometime in 2019.

Next, Todd Howard took the stage to announce that the Xbox Game Pass would feature Fallout 4, and that will be available to access for today. After, a world exclusive of Fallout 76 was shown. The game will be a sequel to all other Fallout games in the series. In the trailer, we got a look at the environment as well as an ominous preview of the story for the game.

Next up was the world premier of Square Enix’s next entry in the Life is Strange universe, The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit, which will star a young child rather than a teen, and will be free on June 26.

Next was a premier of Crackdown 3, which showed off the new futuristic, massive map for the world. We also got a look at the combat, driving, new enemies, and the new toys gamers will be able to use to destroy everything in their path.

Next, Nier: Automata was announced to have a complete edition coming to Xbox One June 26. Immediately following, Metro Exodus had a short trailer showing off short gameplay, the environments, weapon customization, dynamic weather effects, and a new, dangerous open world. In addition, here is a creepy cultist tone to the story for Metro Exodus. The title will be released February 22, 2019.

The next game to be shown was Kingdom Heart III, which will be featured on Xbox for the first time. In the trailer, a Frozen world was shown. The new Tangled, Toy Story, Monsters Inc., and Wreck it Ralph worlds were also shown off. Also, bits of the story were shown off. Kingdom Hearts III will be released January 29, 2019.

The next game on the list was Sea of Thieves. New DLC for the game was announced, and those will be Cursed Sails and Forsaken Shores, and both will be launching later this year. Next, a trailer for Nordyl, a character in Battlefield V, was shown. The trailer was focused more on the story than gameplay.

Immediately following was the preview for Forza Horizon 4. In the trailer, the stunning graphics and dynamic weather effects were in full display. It also showed off a wide variety of different cars, both new and old. A live demo was shown for the title, and it showcased a British countryside map. The title will have an open world that will be able to connect drivers together so the community can experience the world at once. The game will launch on October 2, 2018, and it will be included with the Xbox Game Pass.

Phil Spencer took the stage once again to announce a new Microsoft studio, The Initiative. In addition, Undead Labs will be working as a development studio under Microsoft. Also, Playground Games will be joining Microsoft as well. Next, Ninja Theory will now officially be joining Microsoft Studios. The last studio to join Microsoft Studios is Compulsion Games.

Following the announcements was a trailer for We Happy Few. In the trailer, we get a look at the dystopian world of the game. We Happy Few will launch on August 10, 2018.

Afterwards, a trailer for PUBG played, and it was revealed that the Miramar and Sanhok maps, and War Mode, will be coming Winter 2018 to Xbox One. There was also a teaser at the end that hinted at a snow map for the game that will come in the future.

Following was the world premier of Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition. The title will finally be coming to the west for the first time, and the trailer featured combat and colorful cutscenes from the game. The title is expected Winter of 2018.

The next trailer was the world premier for The Division 2. While the trailer only showed a glimpse of the world, we got a gameplay trailer immediately after. The environment has changed, with players traveling through a botanical garden, urban decay, as well as a crashed plane sight. There was also a new inventory system shown off, new ways to dispatch enemies, new enemy types, and a different feel for the story. The Division 2 will launch March 15, 2019. The Division 2 beta signups are currently live.

Ashley Speicher took the stage next to discuss the Xbox Game Pass. The new FastStar feature will load up games twice as fast. FastStart will be included with some titles in the Xbox June update. Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be on the Game Pass later this year, and Forza Horizon 4 and Crackdown 3 will be on the Xbox Game Pass same day at launch. Ashen, Afterparty, Phoenix point, and Warhammer Vermintide II will be on the Xbox Game Pass. Finally, The Division, The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited, and Fallout 4 will be released for Xbox Game Pass today.

Afterwards, a trailer for Shadow of the Tomb Raider was shown. The brand new Mayan setting was shown off, and tons of new stealth and action sequences were revealed. There were also a couple glimpses of the new puzzles and obstacles that players will be able to solve and overcome. Shadow of the Tomb Raider launches September 14, 2018.

The next console exclusive to be shown off was Session, a skateboarding game. Although short, the stellar graphics and skate tricks gave off a vibe of a modern Skate or Tony Hawk game done well. Also, a quick trailer showed that Black Desert online will be brought to Xbox One, and beta signups are now available.

The following game was a world premier for the brand new Devil May Cry 5 game. The absurd, action packed combat of the original titles are back with new faces and old. Devil May Cry 5 will be available Spring 2019. Ever since the released of Devil May Cry 4, which was 10 years ago, fans have been wanting a true sequel to the series, and now, fans will finally get what they have been wanting for so long.

Following was a DLC announcement for Cuphead, Cuphead the Delicious Last Course. In the DLC, new levels, bosses, and a new character will be included. Next on the game announcements was a cute game called Tunic. In it, you control a warrior fox through a colorful, massive landscape.

Afterwards, a world premier for a brand new fighting game from Bandai Namco, Jump Force, which will feature many anime characters from across multiple shows. It will be expected sometime in 2019.

The next game to be shown off is the highly anticipated sequel to Dying Light, Dying Light 2. The game boasts important game choice consequences, and the world will be shaped by the actions of the player. Following was a gameplay demo that showed off the revamped parkour system, and it also showed off the importance of decision making and how the world can and will change.

A short world premier for a brand new Battletoads game was shown off. The game is expected sometime in 2019. Afterwards, the world premier announcement for Just Cause 4 was shown, and that game will launch December 4, 2018.

Following was an announcement for a new line of Gears of War Funko Pops. Also announced was Gears Tactics, a take on the turn-based genre with a Gears of War twist. Also shown was a glimpse of the story for Gears of War 5. In addition, we also got a short look at the enemies and combat. The title is expected in 2019 and will be on the Xbox Game Pass.

To close out the show, after much wait and anticipation, a new trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 was shown to the world.
