MicroSimulation and Shueisha Games Unveil Citizen-Driven Strategy Title Conquista: Tide of Wills

Developer MicroSimulation and publisher Shueisha Games have announced CONQUISTA: Tide of Wills, a new PC title that merges colony management with grand 4X strategy mechanics. Currently slated for Summer 2027 release via Steam, the game debuted alongside a trailer highlighting its sprawling maps, settlement building, and a unique system where the simulated lives of everyday citizens dictate the fate of the nation.
In CONQUISTA, players are tasked with cultivating small outpost into a global superpower. Rather than acting as mindless drones, every inhabitant within your borders operates with total autonomy, which separates itself from traditional city builders.  Every citizen operates with a unique name, occupation, and daily routine. They participate in the local economy autonomously by shopping at local markets, unwinding at taverns, and interacting with traveling merchants who carry wealth across borders.

The core gameplay loop revolves around managing the “Passions” of your populace. As the settlement expands, the collective desires and frustrations of the people can trigger massive, unprompted historical events. According to the developer, a simple rumor exchanged at a local pub could snowball into a full-scale rebellion that redraws national borders. Similarly, an ambitious explorer might chart unknown territories without player input, or unhappy citizens might secede to form their own independent states.

As the ruler, players must choose whether to embrace these civilian movements or crush them. The macro-level 4X elements come into play as your growing nation interacts with neighboring powers. Players can opt for diplomatic routes through trade and alliances, or raise armies to conquer new lands in large-scale tactical battles. Because the terrain, neighboring factions, and citizen behaviors are randomized, the social and political landscape will change with every playthrough.

CONQUISTA: Tide of Wills is currently scheduled to launch on PC via Steam in the summer of 2027 and can be wishlisted now on Steam.
